2d DCA clinic re-opens

The Second District's Appellate Self-Help Clinic has re-opened:
Welcome Back! In-person consultations are now available at the Appellate Self-Help Clinic:

Public Counsel's Appellate Self-Help Clinic has reopened to the public to provide general legal information and procedural assistance to people who are representing themselves in appeals pending in the Second District Court of Appeal and the Appellate Division of any Superior Court within the Second District.


The Appellate Self-Help Clinic is open most Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Clinic consultations are by appointment only and are available in person, via video conference, or by telephone.

Appointments for the Appellate Self-Help Clinic can be requested by calling (213) 830-7234 on Wednesdays starting at 8:00 a.m. The line will remain open until all available appointments are filled. Clinic staff will notify successful or wait-listed callers of their appointment times by telephone or e-mail. Appointments are for the following Wednesday.

In keeping with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health guidelines for COVID-19 safety protocols, in person consultations are subject to the following health and safety-related restrictions:
Masks are required inside the Ronald Reagan State Building at all times;
Waiting inside the Clinic’s lobby or on the stair landing is not permitted, even with masks. If you arrive early for an appointment, please wait in the atrium on the ground floor until the time scheduled for your appointment.

Anyone who does not receive an appointment confirmation or wait-list notification is encouraged to call again.
