Appellate Theatrical Event!

The Pasadena Playhouse will be presenting The Originalist (a play about "the life and times of" Justice Scalia) from April 11 to May 7. Awesome, right?

"When a bright, liberal law school graduate embarks on a nerve-wracking clerkship with Justice Antonin Scalia, she discovers him to be both an infuriating sparring partner and an unexpected mentor.  As the country waits for Scalia’s seat to be filled, The Originalist looks into the complexities of one of the most polarizing Supreme Court Justices of all times.  This powerful work portrays the passionate people risking heart and soul to defend their interpretation of the truth, and the constitution. Running time for this production is 95 minutes with no intermission."

Wait, it gets better: After the performance on April 15 there will be a panel discussion following the play featuring Judges Kozinski, Reinhardt, and Watford! How cool is that?!

Still not cool enough?! Ok, be greedy then: Use the Code "Judges" to save 35% off the April 15th showing (or for 20% off for performances on other dates).
Be there, have a good excuse for your absence, or dare not call yourself a SoCal Appellate Nerd...
