Not interested in free money, eh?
Ah, appellate practice!
Surprisingly, the hit count for this blog's last entry about Free Money (i.e., using the State Controller's website to recover money that belongs to you, your family, your friends, your clients, etc.) is unusually low. Could it be that this blog's readers really don't care about valuables as crass as cash? Ok, then, to get back to pure appellate nerdiness treasures, he are some items from yesterday: A compelling narrative opening here, lots of appellate 'stuff' (including $9K in sanctions for filing a frivolous appeal) here, and a stipulated reversal (which you don't see too often) here.
