Appellate lunatic & Getting the Record Right

Image result for raining numbersToday's DJ contains an article on the 1-2-3's of California appellate practice. The author's obsession (mad ravings?) with numbers is somewhat reminiscent of the movie A Beautiful Mind, about that insane mathematician. Ok, it's therapeutic to exorcise those numerical demons, but will anyone find the article useful or amusing?

Today's Recorder offers Getting the Appellate Record Right, by Anna-Rose Mathieson.

Tuesday's [print version] DJ has a photo captioned Loyola hosts 10th Annual Criminal Justice Institute, featuring 2/5's PJ Paul Turner as Judge of the Year.

For those only interested in fascinating appellate opinions, here's one and here's another big one (with a lot of amici for a Court of Appeal case) that will get a lot of press.
