So who is on the list?

Recent reports suggest Governor Brown "might take six months to find" a successor to Justice Moreno. 

So over the next couple weeks, I'll introduce you to some California jurists appointed by Democratic administrations who fit what seems to be, for better or worse, the typical age bracket.
