The 3DCA will have 3 openings upon confirmation of Justice Cantil-Sakauye, notes the Daily Journal's Laura Ernde in Monday's edition. She further notes "unconfirmed reports" that PJ Art Scotland and Justice Rick Sims "may also be hanging up their robes soon."
Justice Sims has already announced his intention to retire, as we reported back in February. So that would make 4 openings.
And today Justice Scotland (left) announced he will retire effective September 17. So that makes 5.Laura Ernde writes the possible contenders include Sacramento County Superior Court Judges Louis Mauro, Maryanne Gilliard, and Stacy Boulware Eurie; Placer County Superior Court Judge Charles Wachob; and San Joaquin County Superior Court Judge William Murray, Jr.
