Kagan Nomination Goes to Senate

With all the buzz over Justice Cantil-Sakauye's nomination to the California Supreme Court, I've kind of lost sight that there's another "Supreme Court."  It's back east somewhere, maybe in D.C.

At any rate, the latest nominee for that court has been approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee by a 13-6, mostly party-line vote.  (South Carolina Sen. Graham was the only Republican to cross the aisle.)

The nomination moves to the full Senate for confirmation.  A vote is expected in the coming weeks.
