New Cal Supreme Case Tracker, Courtesy of Greines

Malcolm Gladwell describes "mavens" as "information specialists" who are "almost pathologically helpful."

Enter the appellate mavens at Greines Martin Stein & Richland , who are offering an incredibly helpful (maybe not pathologically helpful) service for California appellate lawyers: a California Supreme Court civil case tracker.

They say: "We present here a list of all civil cases now pending before the California Supreme Court, with descriptions from the Court’s official news releases. Each entry identifies the case’s subject areas and includes a link to the Court of Appeal opinion and to the Supreme Court’s docket. You can search for cases by subject area or search for specific words by using your browser’s “find” command, and the case numbers will link you to the Supreme Court dockets. Cases will continue to appear for a month after decision, with a copy of the opinion"

Pretty awesome, if you ask me.

Thanks to Ben Shatz for the tip.
