The Judicial Council has ordered ALL California courts to close the third Wednesday of every month, starting Sept. 16. According to its press release, "All California courts are subject to closure: the superior courts, the Courts of Appeal, and the California Supreme Court."
The Recorder has an article quoting Judicial Council member and 4/1 DCA Justice Richard Huffman as saying "I hate it," but adding, "We believe it is the only rational mechanism available to us to minimize the impact to the public."
