Big change coming for CA appellate records!

On Friday, October 16, the Judicial Council approved numerous proposals affecting appellate practice, including proposal 26-115 requiring the use of appendixes in (most) civil appeals. This rule, effective Jan. 1, 2027, will drastically reduce the use of Clerk's Transcripts as the record on appeal and so presumably will increase speed and efficiency in the appellate process.
