Justice Guerrero confirmed as Chief Justice

At this morning's CJA hearing, Justice Guerrero was confirmed as Chief Justice of California. Newsroom story here, noting "Justice Guerrero must now be elected by voters at the Nov. 8 general election in order to assume office in January."

The DJ reports Justice is part of panel studying roots of veteran criminality about how Justice Eileen Moore will serve on a 15-member commission "to explore why so many military veterans end up in jail or prison."
