Sad and terrible news:
SoCal appellate specialist Orly Degani passed away this weekend.
She had just started in Justice Currey's chambers. She was an active participant in the SoCal appellate community: She served as a CD Cal AUSA, worked at H&L and in the appellate groups at Sedgwick and Akin, had her own appellate firm, was a member of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers, and served on LACBA's SAJEC. She was devoted to pro bono work, especially involving animal welfare. She will be sorely missed.
Memorial service: Sunday, Feb. 10 @ 10 a.m., at Mount Sinai, 6150 Mt. Sinai Drive, Simi Valley.
