9th Cir. sitting in El Centro

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit will hold a special sitting on February 19 at the El Centro U.S. Courthouse in El Centro, California. Oral arguments will be livestreamed and begin at 10 a.m. PST in Suite 220, 2003 W Adams Ave. A valid photo ID is required for admittance. The three-judge panel will consist of Senior Circuit Judge Richard C. Tallman, Circuit Judge John B. Owens and District Judge Ruth Bermudez Montenegro, who is sitting by designation from the Southern District of California. Cases on the docket are: • USA v. Enriquez, an appeal from a conviction for conspiracy to violate the AntiKickback Statute. Case No. 23-4424 • Raiymkulov v. Bondi, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan petitions for review of the Board of Immigration Appeals’ dismissal of an appeal of an immigration judge’s denial of withholding of removal and protection under the Convention Against Torture.
