Los Angeles Clerk’s Office will no longer require appointments beginning March 1, 2023 -- In accord with Governor Newsom's announcement in October 2022 that the Covid-19 State of Emergency would end on February 28, 2023, the Second District Court of Appeal Clerk’s Office in Los Angeles will phase out the appointment system implemented during the pandemic. The Clerk’s Office will no longer require appointments beginning March 1, 2023. Los Angeles courtroom protocols related to Covid-19 will remain in effect until technology upgrades have been completed in early June. Courtroom access will be open to the public unless health concerns preclude it.
