The Cal Supreme Court 2023 Calendar is
here! -- "The court this fall will consider whether to continue oral argument in a hybrid format, which allows participants to appear in person or with remote technology upon request. The calendar also includes dates for the court's weekly conferences and court holidays for 2023." (Fun fact: In 2023 every "Wednesday Conference" will actually be on a Wednesday, unlike this year, where the Nov. 22 conference is on a Tuesday.)
And The Recorder has Legislature Poised to Authorize 'Voice Writers' in California Courtrooms -- Commonly used in other state courts, voice writers record proceedings by repeating verbatim what speakers say into a device that transcribes speech into written words. New legislation would allow regulators to license voice writers in an effort to expand a shrinking pool of court reporters.
