Anti-Asian Racism and more

There's much of appellate note in the DJ and elsewhere today:

First, the DJ has Aggression toward Asians fuels debate at virtual hate crimes summit, with quotes from Justice Liu. Bloomberg Law has California Justice Liu Describes Experience with 'Casual Racism,':
As an Asian American, California Supreme Court Justice Goodwin Liu said he’s experienced “casual everyday racism” from when kids made fun of his lunch while growing up in Sacramento to later being mistaken for the server at “fancy receptions.”
Second, LASC Judge Michael Stern has Cruz Reynoso: A man who stood for justice, 1931-2021:
Throughout his life, he was a devoted advocate for civil rights who fought tirelessly for social justice and equality for all.

Third, Moskovitz on Appeals offers On Amicus Letters, which notes that since the odds of getting review granted by the Cal Supremes are only 3%, it's important to get help (under CRC 8.500(g)): 

Get people and institutions affected by the Court of Appeal opinion to tell the Supreme Court exactly how that opinion has already affected them or might affect them in the future.
