AJEI postponed to 2021

To All Our Attendees, Participants and Sponsors:The Appellate Judges Education Institute (AJEI) Summit, originally scheduled for November 12 – 15, 2020, in Austin, Texas, has been postponed and will now take place November 11 – 14, 2021, in Austin, Texas.

For over two decades, AJEI has been the premier institute for the education of appellate judges and lawyers. Due to the health threat this pandemic crisis has strapped on our nation and the world, which has caused governmental and personal restrictions on travel and social distancing, the Board of AJEI unanimously approved this difficult decision. The decision was made with the interest of our presenters, attendees and sponsors paramount in our thoughts.
Please mark your calendar with the new date of November 11 – 14, 2021. The Program committee, with Justice Eva Guzman of the Texas Supreme Court remaining as Chair, promises you a Summit that will once again excel in quality programs and networking opportunities. Our new partner in appellate education, The National Judicial College, is also helping us prepare an outstanding program.
Stay safe and well during this challenging time. We look forward to seeing you at the Hyatt in Austin, Texas, next year!!! If you have any questions, please reach out to us at njc-ajei@judges.org.
Hon. James E. Lockemy
Chief Judge, South Carolina Court of Appeals
Chair, Appellate Judges Education Institute
