The Supreme Court of California has published its Oral Argument Calendar for next year. The calendar highlights the weeks when oral argument will be held in San Francisco, Sacramento, and Los Angeles. It also includes the dates for the court’s weekly conferences and court holidays for 2020.
Tidbits: In 2020, "Wednesday" conferences will take place on four non-Wednesdays (Thurs., Jan. 2; Tues. Feb. 11; Tues. 11/10 and Tues. 11/24). The month least likely to get review granted is May (b/c there are only two conferences). The months most likely to get review granted are January, April, September and December (b/c there are four conferences in those months). As is usual, the Court will not hear arguments in July and August (Summer vakay!) and will have two argument weeks in May. Also, the Court will visit LA in April, June and December.
