There
are 17 justices from the Second Appellate District on the ballot for the
November 6, 2018 election [there's at least one justice from every division; and 14 justices in the Fourth District too]. It is difficult for many voters to make
informed choices regarding these justices especially if they are not familiar
with the workings of the judiciary and the reputation of the candidates. This task
has become even more complicated in today’s highly charged and polarized
political environment. We, as lawyers, can help voters make
more informed choices. Please reach out to your friends, acquaintances and
colleagues and share your knowledge and experiences. We all benefit from
a more informed electorate.
