Interesting split today

The Cal Supremes appear split along gender lines here, with Justice Cuellar writing for a majority consisting of Justices Chin, Liu and Mauro (by assignment) and on the concurring/dissenting/distaff side, Justice Corrigan joined by the Chief and Justice Kruger. The topic? Duty to warn in product liability cases. This will get plenty of other press for many reasons, but note how the vote of the Court of Appeal Justice sitting by designation could make all the difference. Those temporary gigs can make a big difference in the development of the law!
