The DJ reports: Kalman Zempleny of Rutter Group dead at 51: Was known for his strong legal education efforts. PJ Edmon (2/3) is quoted: "[His] contributions to the legal profession can't be overstated. He had an uncanny ability to see a particular area of law that needed to be addressed by the community and figured the best way to deliver that content through written word or visual presentation."
Sincere condolences to his husband and his mother, who often attended the LA Library event and other bar events. The entire SoCal legal community will sharply feel this loss. Kalman attended LMU for college and Pepperdine for Law School. His love for legal publishing, quality MCLE programs, and cruise ship adventures will long endure in our memories.
A memorial service is scheduled for Sept. 10 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in L.A.
