Immanuel Kant
Categorical imperative =
show me the money!

If pure data like this is too dry, check out David Balabanian's Lesson Learned DJ column from last Monday, Translations from Cant. It's a hoot! He translates a number of cliches, such as "It has long been the law," which means "We found a really good case (from 1904)."
Clearly = colorably.
That's a really good question = I didn't understand it, so I'll answer a different one.
Let me be clear = I see I have failed to confuse you.
With due respect = With ill-concealed contempt.
And many more...

Also of note: In the unpub'd decision of Two Play Properties v. Bank of the West, Justice Gomes begins by quoting from (what else?) that most famous of plays, Hamlet. (But there's no follow-up with a second quote, so Two Play will have to be contented with just one.)
