California Appellate Courts heading Left?

The article notes that all five Justices Governor Brown has appointed have been Democrats and asserts that if he wins another term, he may have the opportunity to appoint 30 more justices. Are there really that many potential upcoming vacancies?

The article quotes Justice Kline as saying that ideology factors into few court of appeal decisions and H&L's Jon Eisenberg as saying "If I was a 30 year old lawyer and had designs on the bench, I would want to be a Democrat."
