FBA LA calendar wtih an eye on 9th Circuit Judges

The LA Chapter of the Federal Bar Association has a few upcoming programs of appellate interest:
*First, the State of the Circuit/District Luncheon, featuring Judge Tashima (March 14 at the downtown Doubletree Hotel);
*Second, a program titled Thinking Like a New Federal Judge (6 p.m., April 28 at O'Melveny & Myers) featuring Judge Nguyen; and
*Third, the annual Reception Honoring the Federal Judiciary (5:30 p.m., May 16 in City Hall), featuring... whichever Ninth Circuit judges choose to attend. Judge Alarcon, for one, seems to be a regular at this event, which is in a really neat room at the top of City Hall.
