"Amici Flood" at California Supreme Court
To follow up on M.C. Sungaila's article on amicus briefs, here is an article from the Recorder on the flood of amicus briefs being filed in the County of Santa Clara case, in which the California Supreme Court will decide whether governmental entities may retain contingency fee counsel if a government lawyer retains supervisory control.
