The Senate Judiciary Committee suspended yesterday's planned confirmation hearing regarding 9th Circuit nominee Goodwin Liu, due to hearing scheduling rules. Apparently, they can't start after 2 p.m. (Yes, you read that right.)
The committee members may use the extra time to give careful attention to this letter praising Liu's "independence and openness to diverse viewpoints as well as his ability to follow the facts and the law to their logical conclusion, whatever its political valence may be."
