The Chair of the State Bar Committe on Appellate Courts, Deputy AG Deborah Chuang, has been appointed to the OC Superior Court. Congrats!
As for the CAC leadership, Peter Pierce of Richards Watson will assume the chair and Ben Shatz of Manatt (and good friend of this blog) will become the vice-chair.
Non-appellate note: The governor also appointed OC Asst. DA Walt Schwarm to the Superior Court. Walt is a heckuva lawyer and a running buddy who graciously slows his pace so I can keep up with him sometimes. Congrats Walt!
