- "I've always loved art," Levy said. "I've gotten especially interested in Native American art over the last 20 years or so."
- One thing Levy has in common with some of these artists is a connection to the Old West. His great grandfather arrived in Fresno in 1885, the same year it incorporated as a city. Much of his family has been there ever since. While Levy's father was in the real estate and insurance business, two of his best friends were judges, for whom Levy said he had tremendous respect.
- Levy has been on the court for 26 years, since Gov. Pete Wilson appointed him in 1997. Levy is the longest serving member of the 5th District court, which Snauffer said probably has the highest average age of any appellate bench in the state.
